Four years to the day

And I remember

He’s down – they said

Broken – they said

Maybe

Could be

All over

Ah broken bird

Show me your wings

Do they seem stronger than ever?

You reach for the clouds

You breathe in the sun

Still touching the face of God  

    (9th October 2002 Best Beloved broke his neck in a hang gliding accident and for a while there, I thought  our life as it was, was over. .But God decided differently, and I am still profoundly grateful - almost 20 years later!)
